About Us
~New Ownership~
The Auction Center was built in 1910 and was originally used as a feed store. It was well know as OJ’s Antiques for many years then the Oregon City Auction was established with Dale and Candy Fisher as the original owners. The Auction Center has had new owners since November of 2008.
Meet The New Owners
Jahne Cody is co-owner and auctioneer.
He brings a fun and unique style to auctioneering and has worked extremely hard to make improvements to the Auction Center and make everyone’s auction experience more fun and exciting.
Come by on a Friday night to see him in action. Ask him to sing some Elvis for you!
Brian Smith is the co-owner of the auction.
He and Jahne have put in a tremendous amount of work in getting the place cleaned up and organized.
Brian and his wife Megan have a handsome son, Aaron. Check our photo gallery for pictures!
Meet Our Friendly Staff of Volunteers
Ramona worked in the office answering questions, handing out bidder cards and taking payments until she became a Pharmacy Technician.
She has been a contributor to the growth of the auction in many ways!
We don’t see her enough…aww!
She still stops in occasionally though and we’re grateful to see her.
Linda (Jahne and Jimmy’s Mom) helps out in the office, the snack bar, the merchandise pick-up area, or wherever she is needed that evening.
Linda and her kids have been around auctions for many years and she will gladly help you out if you are new to auctions.
She also helps out in the new retail outlet throughout the week. She’s awesome!
Jimmy helps out on the stage looking for the highest bidders and showing the items to be auctioned off.
He’s a very valuable asset to his bro! So raise those bidder cards high!
Notice any resemblance to the auctioneer, Jahne?
Jimmy is Jahne’s brother.
Murray is the “Tape Guy”.
He is responsible for putting your bidder number on the items once they have sold to make sure items get to the right person at the end of the auction.
I’m sure Murray normally has a green thumb but on Friday nights he has a red thumb….literally! (Red marker + tape = red thumb!)
Danielle works the snack bar to make sure you don’t starve during the auction!
She also owns the “The Vintage Shoppe” right around the corner at 212 14th Street.
Lots of different and unique items in her store also!
Be sure to visit her during the day.
Larry is the guy to blame when something is wrong with the website.
